I can't await spring, so I already changed my blog-design. We are counting the days until the first March-week will be over. After this date there used to be no snow any more here at us.
Outside it's still dark and rainy, weather that really makes you depressive. But for the weekend they forecasted sunny and warm spring-weather with temperatures up to 18°C (64°F), which is pretty warm. We hope that we can sit on the terrace this Sunday for the very first time. The bench is already waiting there.
Yesterday I made two people happy and this made me very happy, too. These two people have been Jim and Carol; both are searching for their Waldecker ancestors and I could help them with a little information. Jim commented on my post "Special for Jim" and both sent me a lot of nice emails I appreciated very, very much and which I'm going to answer soon. This is the point, when I think that all the entire work doing research on Waldecker immigrants is worth to be done, although it's mostly much, much, much work and sometimes pretty frustrating when I can't find the information I'm looking for. But I know that there are people outside who are also searching and helping them is always a good thing, like I also always found a lot of nice people in America, who helped me with my investigations. People who do research on genealogy are a bit like a big family all over the world.

Ulme, adventures of my dachshund-lady
- Spring, the calendar says spring!
- Sunshine and flowers, but...
- Mr. Spring hasn't looked at the calendar.
