Three years ago I bought my car at a local seller and car repair shop in the town where I use to work. It is a Dacia Sandero running with car gas, a good and simple car, just what I need: A cheap car to get from A to B with no bells and whistles. So far so good.
From the very first beginning the gas system did not work properly. The car went out from time to time just when I was driving suspecting nothing. Because there was warranty I reclaimed this and also the door locks, which didn't work properly. When I got my car back after three days nothing was better. Still the same problems with the gas system, still not working door locks. I reclaimed again, all in all four or five times, because nothing was better when I got my car back. When I tried to raclaim again they turfed me off. They wouldn't think of repairing this again. Everything would be right. It's me who is wrong.
A few weeks ago the problems with the gas systems grew worse, such worse, that I thought my car wouldn't make it to the next car repair shop. This time I went to another repair shop in another town nearby. The friendly car mechanic stated, that the car urgently has to be repaired and he claimed incidentally that there was never ever a repair on the gas system or elsewhere before.
WAIT! Never ever a repair on the gas system before? And the doors? Nope, no repairs, everything as it once had left the car plant. No repairs. Never ever.
I tell you what I thought when I heard this: When I reclaimed the not working gas system and the not working door locks the other car repair shop where I once bouhgt the car did they let my car only stand on their property for two or three days, but didn't do anything on my car? And they refused to repair it, although there was still warranty! I am really disgusted, angry! There was a high risk of getting a motor damage because of the not properly working gas system. In about 3 or 4 weeks my car would have been totally busted. Did they think that in this case I would buy another car in their shop? I know that they didn't make good profit on my car when I once bought it, because I bought it for a very low price then.
It would be the right reaction to tell the name of the car repair shop who was such incompetent (or should I say commits fraud ? Maybe I am not the only customer they treated this way...) to warn other people. But unfortunately you can't do this in Germany without being sued.
Well, I was shocked. This meant at least 2000 - 3000 Euros for a repair. But no, the friendly mechanic found out that there is still warranty on my car, just for another 2 weeks. I don't have to pay for all this and he promised me to look, if there are other damages he can repair on warranty. So I get a total remoulding of my car for free!
I'm really a lucky beggar!
