Plants and trees, this sounds very easy, but it isn't, because the weather is very grey and rainy at the moment and after the severe frost we had for two weeks, nature looks like this: unattractive. This is my way to my other house I am currently going to sell. I have to look after it at least three times a week. The road leads to Rhoden in Waldeck with the big castle on top pf the hill. Plants? Naked trees and shrubs and dead grass, that's all.
Well, it looks a little better on the terrace of my house. It's raining and I took this pic through the living room window. It's getting more and more strange to me since we went back to my great grandfather's house.
And this is my favorite plant, a cactus which once belonged to my grandma. It must be about 100 years old now and it is blooming all the time.
This is my favorite tree. I love it, because it's so old and has got so many marks on it, which show a lot of it's tree-life. Like old people and their wrinkles.
A little creek in the fields with some shrubs.
A lonely cow.... I wonder if she can find enough grass.

I just love your pictures! The terrace is gorgeous!
I used to have a Christmas cactus that was a piece off of my grandfather's plant. He had it forever and it was HUGE! It was over six feet wide in their front porch window. Mine was maybe two feet wide but just as beautiful. I loved it because it came from his plant. Unfortunately, too many moves and I think the plant got tired of moving. :(
Your cactus is just gbeautiful!

Yes, the terrace is gorgeous. We don't have such a terrace in my new old house at the moment and it will be another 2 years until we hopefully have a nice terrace also here. Sigh!
Sorry about your plant. I would be very sorry if this happens to granny's cactus. Well, we looked after it yesterday and we are going to move it to our new old house very soon. It's so extremely heavy that you can only move it with the help of another person.

Very pretty pictures - I love your scenery! That cactus is incredible. I've never seen one like that before.

Unfortunately I don't know what kind it is. We call it "village-cactus", because nearly every household in our small village has got a cactus like this. I think they must have exchanged offsets.
